BABY SEA TURTLE RELEASE KUTA

The Kuta Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Program is a nonprofit and non-government program that aims to protect sea turtles and their habitat, to raise public awareness regarding on sea turtle protection of natural habitats. The endangered species of sea turtles nesting on Kuta Beach are Olive Ridley turtle (Lepidochelys Olivacea). They relocate sea turtle eggs laid on Kuta and the surrounding beaches to a central hatchery. The eggs take 45-60 days to develop and hatch naturally. Sea turtle nesting season on Kuta Beach is from March to September, while hatching season is from April to October each year. So now up to October is the best time to be part in witnessing the turtle release. Usually the baby sea turtle is released the day after they hatch from the nest, unfortunately the hatching dates nor the baby sea turtle release are unpredictable. Bali Garden is located very close to the Conservation area, therefore it is easy to get there by walking through the beach side. Be sure to talk to our guest relation staff who can update you with the baby turtle release schedule. Below are some information that will be helpful to know.
