On December 27^th, Bali Garden Beach Resort was immersed in the colourful spectacle of Odalan Day; a celebration deeply rooted in Balinese culture and observed on Purnama Kapitu, Buda Paing Landep in the Balinese calendar. This sacred tradition is a cornerstone of Balinese culture, perpetually passed down through generations, emphasizing the importance of unity, togetherness and spiritual harmony. Coming together in prayer strengthens the bond within the Bali Garden Beach Resort family, fostering a sense of togetherness. The essence of Odalan Day was brought to life by the mesmerizing Rejang Puspa Puja performance — a revered offering to the gods. Accompanied by the melodic tunes of the traditional gamelan, the dance enchanted those present. On December 21, 2023, Bali Garden Beach Resort staff journeyed to Giri Asih Orphanage,
Negara. Located approximately three hours from Kuta, this little-known sanctuary holds a
special spot in our hearts, providing care and support to many children who face challenges in
their lives. The warmth and gratitude we experienced on arrival was palpable. Met with
happy smiles, we thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie between our team and the wonderful
children of Giri Asih Orphanage. Learning about the orphanage’s daily activities, we were
delighted to discover the children’s involvement in numerous positive endeavours. Recently
they embarked on a new venture: a coffee shop! Through this initiative, these children are
honing their business skills while mastering the art of crafting exquisite coffee. Their
determination to excel despite challenges speaks volumes about their spirit and potential. We
hope our continued association with Giri Asih Orphanage will make a positive impact as we
strive to provide for their needs in the future.

Auto Gates to Expedite Procedures at Ngurah Rai

With an average of 58,000 passengers passing through Bali’s international airport daily, the Director General of Indonesian Immigration has initiated the installation of 90 automated gates at Ngurah Rai International. Designed to expedite processing of passengers who utilize the electronic visa-on-arrival (e-VOA), 60 new gates should be operational in international arrivals by early 2024, with a further 30 allocated to the international departure terminal ready to roll by December 26! Serving no less than 30 international and 19 domestic travel routes, Bali’s international airport now accommodates nearly double the number of daily passengers than it did in 2022.
