COASTAL CLEANUP 2018
On the 3rd Saturday in September every year, volunteers in various countries join the International Coastal Clean Up (ICC). International Coastal Clean Up (ICC) was pioneered by Ocean Conservancy and has been operating since 1986. Currently around 12 million people have participated.
The focus of this event centred around the problem of plastic waste pollution in the ocean and surrounds. Many hotels in Bali participated in this annual event including Bali Garden Beach Resort which is located right on the beach. Many kilos of inorganic and plastic waste were retrieved from the surrounding coastal areas. We recognize the significance of keeping our beautiful location natural and clean for all to enjoy.
The International Coastal Cleanup has become a hope, leading and inspiring action in support of our ocean. We hope we’ll see you at the next International Coastal Cleanup!
