What began as local sculptor Nyoman Nuarta’s 1990 promise to build Indonesia’s tallest statue, manifested in the completion of Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) in July, 2018. This impressive 121 metre tall statue portrays the Hindu God Vishnu mounted on the mythical Garuda bird.
